WHAT IS CHIP-TUNING ?

     All injectioned cars use an extremely sophisticated engine direction system. This engine direction system sends the signals, transmitted from the various parts of the engine, to the brain. This brain is the center of the system. The most important piece which the brain contains is the chip. Chip - Tuning replace the programming on the chip and gives priority to the performance.

HOW CAN CHIP-TUNING BE INSTALLED?

Chip Tuning can be installed in 3 ways:
- Chip on the brain is detached and a new chip which is programmed is attached.
- If the original chip can be reprogrammed, instead of original program, a modified program can be installed.
- Depending on the software of the brain, the old program can be removed and a never version can be installed.

WHY DON'T THE CAR PRODUCERS APPLY THIS ?

     Producers can't pay attention merely to the performance. There are some features as important as performance for producers. While producers are designing the engines, they have to take into consideration some circumtances such as inappropriate driving conditions, cheap oil, lock of maintance; and they have to take necessary measure ments. These measurements effects the performance level poorly. Cars that are modified for performance, because they are mostly extreme, should be taken care of carrefully. Only after these conditions are found the precautions that producers take can be ignored.

HOW MUCH CAN WE GAIN VIA PERFORMANCE TUNING?

     By means of chip - tuning, without effecting the usage of oil much, the performance of car can be increased.
